We can't wait to have a massive year of Water Polo and have you be part of it.

 

 

 

 

Age groups include:

·  12&UMixed – (born 2013 & 2014, some 2011 players are permitted)

·  14&UBoys and Girls – (born 2011 & 2012)

·  16&UBoys and Girls – (born 2009 & 2010)

·  Youth League Men – Born 2006 or later (limited older players permitted)

·  Women’s 2nd Grade - (born 2009 & older)

Summer Season Dates

·  Juniors – Term 4 start 19th October 2024 to 14th December 2024

·  Seniors – start 22nd, 23rd & 24th October 2024

·  Canberra Cup Bye - 8th to 10th November 2024

·  Mid-Season Break - 20 Dec 2024 - 1st Feb 2025  

·  Term 1 start 1st February 2025

·  ACT Club Championships - 7th to 9th March 2025

·  Grand Final Day - 5th April 2025

Support our mango fundraiser

If you love mangoes, here’s your chance to indulge and support our club at the same time. Cost per tray is $28 and orders need to be in by 22nd October.

Order form will be sent out in the community shortly.

Waves trivia night update

We are moving our trivia night at Grill’d Woden to be in a few weeks’ time. This will give new players and families a chance to attend and meet our community.

Arrival will be at 6pm for 6.30pm start.

Tickets will be $25 and includes burger and chips. Look out for an update on the new date in our next making waves edition.

JUNIOR CANBERRA CUP

Dates: Friday 8th November, Saturday 9th November & Sunday 10th November 2024

Divisions:

·  Youth Girls U14 (born 2011, 2012 & 2013)

·  Youth Boys U14 (born 2011, 2012 & 2013)

·  Junior Girls U17 (born 2008, 2009 and 2010)

·  Junior Boys U17 (born 2008, 2009 and 2010)

Venues: Various pools in Canberra

Cost: $150 per player - includes competition entry and pool entry costs

NSW STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

(EOI close 1st November 2024, if Waves has enough players then teams finalised by 10th November 2024.)

Level: Intermediate - for players who take water polo seriously and want to develop their skills. Required to be training 2-3 times per week.

Divisions/Dates:

·  12&U Boys & Girls (born 2013 & 2014) - 20th - 22nd December 2024

·  14&U Boys & Girls (born 2011 & 2012) - 19th - 22nd December 2024

·  16&U Boys & Girls (born 2009 & 2010) - 14th - 17th December 2024

·  18&U Boys & Girls (born 2007 & 2008) - 18th - 21st December 2024

Venue: Sydney Olympic Park and Pymble Ladies College

Cost: TBC approx $500 per player - not including accommodation, meals and travel as this is not a supported tour.

WPACT STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Dates:7th - 9th March 2025 (Canberra Day Long Weekend)

Cost: TBC approx $300 per player - not including accommodation, meals and travel as this is not a supported tour.

AYC 2025 - Australian Youth Water Polo Championships (AYC)

Level: Intermediate - for players who take water polo seriously and want to develop their skills. Required to be training 2-3 times per week.

(EOI close 1st December 2024 with provisional teams finalised in January 2025)

Dates:

·  Week 1 – 14th to 18th April 2025 (14&U and18&U)

·  Week 2 – 20th to 24th April 2025 (16&U)

Location: Various locations across Perth, Western Australia

Cost: Supported tour, TBC approx $2,915.00 per player includes flights, accommodation, meals, transport. As a supported tour the costs for Coach and Manager Flights are divided between the playing group.
